California's 2025 Minimum Wage
Starting January 1, 2025, California’s minimum wage will increase from $16.00 per hour to $16.50 per hour for all employers. Local minimum rates in many cities or counties may exceed the California minimum. Make sure your payroll systems reflect the higher minimum wage on January 1.
The San Francisco minimum wage is currently $18.67.
The California minimum wage is indexed for inflation with a maximum increase of 3.5% per year.
